Qualifications

• BCom with finance/commerce focus and strong numerical ability.
• Proficient in SAP and Excel, MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Product costing analysis: update costing, review cost drivers, summarize data.
• Commercial: assist monthly and YTD sales reports and forecasting consolidation.
• Planning: assist planners with production orders and plant efficiency analyses.
• Raw material & finished goods: monitor stock, dead stock, forecasts and reports.
• Sales support: coordinate samples, manage colour matching, and planning trials.
• Maintain SAP master data and collaborate with SAP team.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and commercially minded professional to join a dynamic FMCG Manufacturing environment in the Cape Town office. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple divisions, supporting commercial performance, product costing, forecasting, planning, and operational efficiency

The successful applicant will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, improving processes, and supporting informed business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Duties will include – but not limited – to the following:

Product Costing Analysis

• Updating product costing
• Reviewing cost drivers - cycle time, part weight, assumed volumes etc
• Collecting costing information from various stakeholders and presenting it in summarized format
• Maintaining cost updates on shared locations and managing access to these files
• Advising master data of updates with relevant stakeholders
• Maintaining and updating ad hoc costing’s

Commercial

• Assisting with monthly Sales Report & Graphs
• Assisting with YTD Sales Report & Graphs
• Assisting with Internal Cost Recovery Tracking
• Assisting with Customer Specific Cost Recovery Tracking
• Assisting with Customer/product specific forecast consolidation and maintenance
• Assisting with Maintaining, updating and improving these reports as needed
• Assisting with forecasting models (IBP) as per the budget
• Working closely with internal SAP team
• Maintaining of SAP master data

Planning

• Assist Planner to create production orders for the plants
• Analyzing and processing plant efficiencies
• Attend planning meeting

Raw Material and Finished Goods

• Stock Holding and Prevention of stock-outs
• Scrapping of raw material and finished goods and issuing of grind release form for signature
• Monitor & control raw material and finished goods dead stock
• Monthly variance raw material and finished goods report and provide feedback
• raw material and finished goods forecast. Finished goods stock items
• Cost-effective RM, MB, CO solutions
• Analyzing orders and highlighting any possible raw material concerns

Sales

• Managing colour matching process and sample requests for sales team
• Coordinating samples for customers
• Trade show preparation
• Create purchase order numbers
• Capturing masterbatch dosages
• Planning trials

To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

• BCom – Emphasis on Finance/Commerce/Business Management
• SAP knowledge or similar (highly recommended)
• Be highly computer literate (MS Office 365, Excel)
• Be highly numerate and detail oriented
• Highly organized and strong administration skills
• Logical, systematic and organized approach
• Team player
• Work well under pressure in a high pace environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• An energetic, positive personality
• Be assertive
• Clear interest in FMCG
