Sun Chemical Durban is seeking a Technical Assistant to provide technical support on colour matching and quality control for external customers and internal teams. The role requires a degree or diploma in chemistry/analytical or chemical engineering, with experience in a technical laboratory, and strong communication skills.

On-site position in Durban, commencing ASAP. The successful candidate will contribute to colour matching across technologies, support ISO-compliant processes, and cooperate

Qualifications

• Computer literate and numerate
• Degree or diploma in Chemistry/analytical/ Chemical Engineering
• Experience in a Technical Laboratory
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to identify colours

Responsibilities

• Develop and display technical expertise to support external customers and internal teams in colour matching and quality control
• Address customer queries relating to colour and coating issues
• Promote safety, housekeeping and ISO procedures
