Job summary

Joubert & Associates in Paarl is seeking a Cold Store Forklift Driver to manage movement and handling of fruit in a cold store. You will upload/offload trucks, transport fruit from packhouse to cold storage, and ensure organized stacking while following SOPs and safety rules.

Your role includes operating forklifts, performing daily inspections, and maintaining accurate temperature/weight records. The position requires a valid forklift licence, medical fitness, and readiness to work shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, offload, transport and stack crates and pallets in designated areas
• Assist with truck drenching, container loading and tipper operations
• Ensure correct handling, storage and movement of fruit, crates and pallets
• Record fruit temperatures, weights and required operational documentation
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any faults, damage or incidents
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and equipment care
• Assist with general operational and ad hoc duties as required
• Follow all company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements

Job description

Stellenpak, a well-established fruit packing and cooling enterprise in Paarl, serving a niche market segment in the fruit industry, is looking for a Cold Store Forklift Driver to join the team.

The incumbent will be responsible for the movement and handling of fruit in the cold store, which includes uploading and offloading of trucks, transporting fruit from the packhouse to the cold store, and moving fruit between designated cold storage areas. Furthermore, the incumbent will also take responsibility for ensuring that fruit is stacked in an orderly manner in accordance with instructions / SOPs applicable to the specific cold store area / room while adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Responsibilities:
