Job summary

Stellenpak in Paarl is seeking a Cold Store Forklift Driver to manage movement and handling of fruit in the cold store, including loading and offloading trucks and transporting fruit from the packhouse to storage areas.

You will operate forklifts, stack crates and pallets, record temperatures and weights, conduct daily inspections, and follow SOPs and safety rules. Shift work is required; apply before the listed deadline.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Good driving ability and forklift operating skills.
• Good communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Ability to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, offload, transport and stack crates and pallets in designated areas
• Assist with truck drenching, container loading and tipper operations
• Ensure correct handling, storage and movement of fruit, crates and pallets
• Record fruit temperatures, weights and required operational documentation
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report faults, damage or incidents
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and equipment care
• Assist with general operational and ad hoc duties as required
• Follow all company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements
