Placements24 is seeking an experienced Truck Driver (Code 14) to join a growing fleet serving Mahikeng and the North West region. The role involves long-haul transportation with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance and cargo security.

The ideal candidate will have a Code 14 license with PDP, at least 5 years of professional driving experience, and thorough knowledge of North West road networks. You will operate a modern fleet and report to dispatch with any route delays.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with PDP.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional truck driver.
• Extensive knowledge of North West road networks and routes.
• Proven record of safe driving and vehicle handling.
• Ability to work independently and manage logistics effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks for long-haul transport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading of cargo according to standards.
• Adhere to traffic laws, driving hour regulations, and safety policies.
• Maintain driver logs and delivery manifests with accuracy.
• Communicate with dispatch and management regarding route status.
