Job summary

Phakisa Holdings in Midrand, Gauteng, is seeking a Code 14 driver for a contractor role. Operate heavy vehicles safely, deliver and collect goods on scheduled routes, and complete required delivery notes and reports.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure roadworthiness, load and secure goods, and maintain accurate mileage and fuel records. A valid Code 14/EC licence and PDP/PrDP are required, along with 3–5 years of heavy vehicle experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Code 14/EC driving competency and clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of South African roads and traffic regulations.
• Ability to complete vehicle inspection and delivery documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate Code 14 heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes and instructions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure roadworthiness.
• Load and secure goods, assist with loading/unloading when required.
• Complete delivery notes, trip sheets and vehicle inspection reports.
• Report defects, accidents or incidents promptly and maintain accurate records.
