Job summary

Phakisa Holdings in Midrand, Gauteng, is seeking a Code 14 driver for a contractor role. Operate heavy vehicles safely, deliver and collect goods on scheduled routes, and complete required delivery notes and reports.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure roadworthiness, load and secure goods, and maintain accurate mileage and fuel records. A valid Code 14/EC licence and PDP/PrDP are required, along with 3–5 years of heavy vehicle experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Code 14/EC driving competency and clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of South African roads and traffic regulations.
• Ability to complete vehicle inspection and delivery documentation.

Driver Code 14 - Midrand Contractor Position Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Sector: Logistics, Warehouse & FreightDuties and Responsibilities: Operate Code 14 heavy vehicles safely and responsibly. Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes and instructions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and properly maintained. Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation. Ensure goods are loaded, secured, transported, and offloaded safely. Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, and incidents immediately. Comply with road traffic legislation and company procedures. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, deliveries, and vehicle condition. Assist with loading and offloading where required. Maintain professional conduct with customers, suppliers, and the public. Protect company property, vehicles, equipment, and goods at all times. Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements. Minimum Requirements: Valid Code 14 / EC driver's licence. Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP) for the applicable vehicle category. 3-5 years' experience driving heavy motor vehicles. Experience with long-distance, regional, or local deliveries. Good knowledge of South African roads and traffic regulations. Ability to complete vehicle inspection and delivery documentation.
