Job description

An established organization in the academic sector is looking for a qualified Code 10 / Code 14 Driver to commence duties on 1 January 2027

Requirements

• Reliable transport is essential as well as a code 10, 14 and PDP license
• Experience in driving in a professional capacity
• Must be responsible, reliable and flexible
• FLUENT IN BOTH AFRIKAANS AND ENGLISH)
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Coordinate regular inspections, maintenance and servicing of all vehicles
• Ensure that all vehicles remain roadworthy, are properly licensed and comply with relevant regulations
• Ensure that all vehicles are kept clean, presentable and in good working condition at all times
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, servicing, maintenance and license renewals
• Assist with other reasonable tasks as requested by management from time to time
• Transporting students and staff to sporting fixtures and events, airport transfers, camps, tours and other related activities which may occasionally require overnight stays and travel away from home

Hours of work:

The nature of this position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the operational needs of the Establishment

The successful candidate must be willing and available to work outside normal hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and school holidays, as required.
