Job summary

Bayer in South Africa is seeking a First Line Sales Manager - Coastal to lead and develop a high-performing Customer Engagement team in the Western Cape, driving sustainable growth and upholding Bayer leadership principles.

You will translate priorities into focused execution, build strong relationships with wholesalers, pharmacy groups and healthcare partners, and collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical to optimise regional value creation.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree as above.
• Minimum three years of successful sales-management experience in pharma/healthcare or equivalent internal leadership role.
• Ability to build accurate sales forecasts and analyze variances.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Veeva CRM and performance dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Customer Engagement team across Western Cape region.
• Set regional direction and translate strategy into clear priorities and execution rhythms.
• Build relationships with wholesalers, corporate and buying groups and other stakeholders.
• Ensure field execution strengthens product availability and customer engagement.
• Use data to inform decisions across territories, channels and SKUs.
