Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Pietermaritzburg seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines according to engineering drawings and job specifications, producing high-precision components.

You will load materials, adjust tools, read drawings, and measure parts with verniers, micrometers and gauges, performing first-off and in-process inspections while maintaining records and reporting issues to ensure smooth production.

• Set up CNC machines for production according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely.
• Perform machine adjustments and tool changes to maintain production efficiency.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Identify machining defects and make necessary adjustments to prevent non-conforming products.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues or breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
