Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement cloud strategies for enterprise clients in Pretoria. The role is on-site and involves direct client engagement, guiding digital transformation, and leading cloud migrations across AWS and Azure.

You will work with infrastructure, development, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud architectures, with a focus on on-premises to cloud migrations and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and/or software development, with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance.
• Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Excellent understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking and client engagement.
