Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer focused on cloud security to design, implement, and manage security across our cloud platforms. You will guide a team of engineers, drive security across CI/CD, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

The ideal candidate has strong cloud security architecture, penetration testing, and compliance experience, with leadership and mentoring skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity engineering; 3+ years cloud security.
• Experience with major cloud platforms and security services.
• Strong container security knowledge (Docker/Kubernetes).
• IaC experience (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• CCSP/CCSK or AWS Security Specialty certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for new cloud deployments.
• Oversee security monitoring, logging, and alerting in the cloud.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests of cloud infra and apps.
• Manage cloud security incidents with prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with Dev & Ops to secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, PCI DSS for cloud deployments.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity engineers and analysts.
• Stay current with cloud security threats and technologies.
