Job summary

Discovery Limited is seeking a Security Solutions (Cloud) Architect to govern secure cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure with a focus on identity-driven security and Zero Trust.

The role combines security architecture ownership, cloud security consulting, and engineering oversight, with hands-on validation as needed. Located in Sandton, the role supports the Discovery Information Security function.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT and/or Information Security.
• 5+ years in cloud security architecture or engineering.
• 2 years Layer 7 enterprise firewall experience.
• Proven experience designing and governing enterprises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud security architecture standards and ensure alignment.
• Design and review secure GCP, AWS and Azure landing zones, aligned to identity-driven security architectures and granular access controls.
• Act as design architect for cloud security architectures and ensure risk-aligned implementations.
• Provide architectural oversight for DevSecOps and secure software supply chains.
