Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Platform Engineer with strong AWS and IaC skills to join the Developer Platform group. You will build and maintain scalable, cost-efficient cloud developer solutions that power the company’s digital and data solutions.

Essential experience includes 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, 2+ years in AWS, and hands-on CI/CD with tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. A relevant IT qualification and a Cloud-focused mindset are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Infrastructure, Software Development, DevOps or Security.
• 3+ years design and implementation of highly available, enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure.
• 2+ years in AWS.
• 2+ years in AWS, Engineering or Infrastructure.
• 2+ years managing a CI system (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Automic).
• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational in Grade 12 National Certificate.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
• A relevant IT Engineering degree.
• Design and deployment of highly available, enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure.
• Advance knowledge of infrastructure concepts, technologies and patterns (SDLC, IaC).
• Experience on AWS platforms; Azure/GCP advantageous.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation.

Responsibilities

• Embed in our Developer Platform group with a focus on Company Cloud Infrastructure.
• Build out and maintain resilient, scalable, cost-effective cloud developer solutions.
• Support and enhance build and release processes through automation.
