Job summary

Electrum is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a cloud engineering team focused on provisioning, maintaining, and securing Electrum's cloud infrastructure. You will bridge hands-on contributions with people leadership to drive on-time delivery and resilient operations.

You will mentor engineers, design cloud architecture, and drive secure, cost-aware solutions using AWS services. The role requires 2–3+ years leadership and 3–5 years in software/cloud roles, with fintech experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
2-3+ years of technical team leadership or management experience.
3-5 years of hands-on software development and cloud operations experience.
Fintech or payment platforms experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and support team members with regular 1-on-1s, goal setting, and career paths.
Drive cloud infrastructure design and hands-on contributions for AWS environments.
Apply Agile/Scrum to manage capacity, backlog health, and releases on time.
Partner across departments to prioritise, scope, and execute releases.
Oversee automation, security controls, ISO compliance, and cost visibility.
Collaborate with Finance to improve cloud cost forecasting and optimisaton.
