Job summary

Netcare invites you to join our team as a Professional Nurse/Clinical (Nurse PB Qualified). You will be responsible for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized, holistic nursing care for patients, families, or the community.

You will coordinate patient care within the multi-disciplinary health team, applying nursing theories and evidence-based practice to treat patients as physical, social, and spiritual individuals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in the unit.
• Communicate with family and health professionals to advocate for the patient.
• Coordinate patient care within the multi-disciplinary health team.
• Initiate and manage emergency treatment as indicated within scope of practice.
• Develop individualised nursing care plans after rounds and reviews with physicians.
• Keep day/night shift documentation reflecting patient status and staffing.
• Engage with unit management to report activities and problems.
