Job summary

Netcare is seeking a dedicated Professional Nurse to lead holistic patient care and coordinate with the multi-disciplinary health team. This role emphasizes clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and effective communication with families and clinicians.

The incumbent will assess and plan individualized nursing care, document accurately, and activate emergency responses as needed to ensure safe, compassionate care delivery across hospital units.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Thorough knowledge of general and specialized nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to coordinate care within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care.
• Communicate with family and health professionals to advocate for patients.
• Coordinate patient care within the multidisciplinary team and with medical staff.
• Initiate and manage emergency treatment when indicated (RESUS).
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans and ensure proper documentation.
