The incumbent coordinates care within the multi-disciplinary health team, applying nursing theory and processes in clinical practice. Responsibilities include providing clinical support, ensuring safe and effective care, initiating emergency treatment, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered professional nurse with SA Nursing Council.
• Thorough knowledge of general and specialized nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic and patient-centered nursing care.
• Plan, implement and document nursing care within SOPs.
• Participate in emergency treatment (RESUS) as required.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with families and health professionals.
• Assist in policy and procedure development and quality risk management.
