Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd in Durban is seeking a reliable Creditors and Debtors Clerk to assist and relieve the existing team. The role requires accurate reconciliation and processing of supplier invoices and payments. You will handle month-end procedures, ICO balancing, and support cashiers where needed.

Qualifications

• Matric is required; accounting qualification is an advantage.
• 1–2 years' experience in a creditors/debtors environment.
• Experience in a high-pressure, deadline-driven accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile creditors and debtors accounts.
• Process POs, GRVs and supplier invoices for payment.
• Balance ICO and clearing tasks.
• Handle month-end processing.
• Assist in relief of cashiers and file documents.

Job Purpose

Assist and fulfil the role and responsibilities of relieving Creditors clerk and Debtors clerk.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconciling of accounts (Creditors and Debtors)
• Adhoc functions
• Processing of PO's, GRV's and invoices for payment
• ICO balancing and clearing
• File documents
• Month end processing
• Receive cash and cheques and assist in relief of cashiers

Experience And Qualifications

• Matric
• Certificate or diploma in accounting an advantage
• 1 - 2 years experience in similar environment

Skills and Competencies

• Able to work in a high performance, results oriented environment
• Extra work hours required at month end, financial year-end and at management discretion and over weekends.
• Successful candidate must be able to step into other roles e.g. if someone is off sick or absent from work
• Pressurized environment
