Job summary

LGL Staffing is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor in Gqeberha to supervise all cleaning outlets, enforce Tsebo standards, and lead a team to maintain high hygiene and safety levels. The role involves monitoring products, implementing correct procedures, and coordinating daily activities within budget.

The ideal candidate holds Grade 12 with a management qualification and has 2–3 years of supervisory experience in cleaning, with strong people management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years supervisory experience in cleaning, preferably in healthcare or related sectors.
• Experience with health and safety standards and procedures is required.
• Strong people management, coaching and motivational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control all cleaning outlets to meet required standards within budget.
• Provide effective leadership for staff within the unit and ensure consistent performance.
• Maintain cleaning programmes and adjust staffing as needed, including weekends if required.
• Report maintenance and safety concerns to the manager on a day-to-day basis.

Job description

The purpose of this role is to supervise and control of all cleaning outlets to the required standards within agreed budgetary limits and to provide effective leadership for all staff within the unit

• Maintain personal health, hygiene and professional appearance
• Maintain the cleaning programme and use initiative on when to be flexible regarding staffing
• Ensure Tsebo standards, policies and procedures are maintained. (Incl. chemicals, work procedures, uniform, professional approach, hand washing methods etc.)
• Ensure correct product obtained by following correct processes
• Do daily checks and follow-ups
• Report maintenance and safety concerns to the manager on a day to day bases

Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 2-3 years Supervisory experience preferably in the cleaning industry
• Must have experience in healthcare and safety standards
• People Management Skills
• Able to work independently , under pressure, long hours and weekends if required.
• Ability to communicate, motivate, develop and coach staff at all levels
