Job summary

MiWay in Cape Town seeks a Claims Investigator to join the Investigations Team. The role requires analyzing claims, interviewing clients, brokers, and witnesses, and compiling detailed investigation reports.

You will work within MiWay Claims Philosophy to validate claims and support timely decisions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in claims investigations, with a focus on accident claims, and a solid grasp of claims systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in claims investigations, especially accident claims.
• Experience with personal and commercial lines essential.
• Solid understanding of claims systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle and valid South African driver’s license.
• Meeting with clients, brokers, SAPS officials to validate claims and compile investigations reports.
• Managing validations of accident claims and other tasks as required.
• Meeting company goals and timelines for the Claims Investigations department.
• Maintaining timelines and managing client/broker expectations.
• Providing guidance to team members and maintaining professionalism.

Purpose of the Role

Up for a new challenge, feel you can make a difference? The Claims Department is looking for enthusiastic Individual who would like to join the MiWay Claims Investigations Team in 2026 as, Claims Investigator based in Cape Town

• Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4
• Tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.

General Experience

• Minimum 3 years Claims Investigations experience, more specifically Accident claims
• Any field investigations experience, e.g from law enforcement agencies, etc.
• Experience in Personal lines and commercial products essential.
• Solid understanding of claims systems and claims procedures: inclusive of claims, investigations, andlegal department processes

Deliverables include, but will not be limited to;

• Own vehicle and valid South African driver’s license.
• Validating claims by meeting with clients, Brokers, SAPS officials, tracing witnesses compiling investigations report on the work done in line with Miway Claims Philosophy.
• Managing validations of Accident claims and other skill sets when required.
• Reaching company goals and targets set for the Commercial and Personal line Investigations department.
• Administering assigned claims and set tasks.
• Managing client and broker expectation.
• Knowledgeable on Broker procedures.
• Maintaining set timelines on the processing of claims.
• Must be highly proficient in dealing with clients at all levels
