Job summary

Tumaini Consulting is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Technician/Technologist in South Africa to join a dynamic team. The candidate will bring strong civil and structural engineering, draughting, design and project management experience across mining, industrial and infrastructure projects.

Required are 8–10+ years in civil and structural engineering, a National Diploma or BTech in Civil/Structural, and strong AutoCAD and modelling skills.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years’ experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Education: National Diploma, BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering or a certificate in multi-disciplinary draughting
• Strong experience in AutoCAD / structural modelling and design.
• Experience within mining, heavy industrial and social housing projects advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Civil and structural draughting, design and modelling.
• Prepare RFQ documentation, including Bills of Quantities and detailed Scopes of Work.
• Manage projects from inception through to completion.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Assist with technical assessments, structural inspections and project reporting.
