Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Engineering Lead – Civil for a Phalaborwa-based role. The candidate will bring professional registration (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) and 7+ years in civil engineering, with a focus on engineering design, project delivery and leadership within mining or mine residue contexts.

Experience with Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), including supervision, inspections or design, is highly desired.

Qualifications

BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering or a related qualification.
Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng.
Minimum 7 years’ relevant professional experience in civil engineering.
Proven experience in engineering design and project delivery, preferably within the mining and/or mine residue sector.
Experience with Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), including construction supervision, inspections and/or design.
Proven project management and technical leadership experience.
Experience leading, mentoring and developing multidisciplinary teams.
Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience contributing to business development and tendering would be advantageous.
Good understanding of relevant South African legislation, engineering standards and health and safety requirements, particularly within the mining environment.
