Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Engineering Lead – Civil for a Phalaborwa-based role. The candidate will bring professional registration (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) and 7+ years in civil engineering, with a focus on engineering design, project delivery and leadership within mining or mine residue contexts.

Experience with Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), including supervision, inspections or design, is highly desired.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering or a related qualification.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng.
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant professional experience in civil engineering.
• Proven experience in engineering design and project delivery, preferably within the mining and/or mine residue sector.
• Experience with Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), including construction supervision, inspections and/or design.
• Proven project management and technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience contributing to business development and tendering would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of relevant South African legislation, engineering standards and health and safety requirements, particularly within the mining environment.
