Job summary

SET Consulting is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of tailings storage facilities, return water dams, and critical mine infrastructure in Namibia. You will lead planning, design, and field investigations, and mentor junior engineers on geotechnical projects.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus, strong project management skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project. Namibian citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Namibian citizenship is required.
• 5–7 years of civil engineering experience with geotechnical focus.
• Experience with tailings storage facilities and mine infrastructure preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design of TSFs, RWDs, and mine infrastructure.
• Manage project delivery, timelines, budgets, and standards.
• Perform surveillance and annual audits for TSFs/RWDs.
• Run stability analyses, seepage modelling, slope evaluations.
• Travel to sites for field investigations and client meetings.
• Draft proposals and oversee sub-consultants and contracts.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers to build capability.
