Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech. Eng.).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design and management of roads and stormwater projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Designer, or similar.
• Solid understanding of pavement design, traffic engineering principles, and hydraulic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan new road construction and rehabilitation projects, including geometric design and pavement analysis.
• Develop designs for stormwater management systems, including culverts, channels, and detention/retention facilities.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant SANS standards, bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities for tender purposes.
• Supervise construction activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure quality control for road and stormwater works.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
