Job summary

Capital Accounting Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer with substantial experience in energy storage, solar PV and grid projects to join our Gauteng team. You will support bidding, design, coordination and delivery while ensuring Eskom standards are met.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have at least 8 years in power or renewable energy, with exposure to design institutes, IPP developers or EPC contractors and strong regulatory knowledge.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Support and deliver energy storage, photovoltaic, and power transmission & transformation projects.
• Participate in bidding, engineering design, technical coordination, and project execution activities.
• Ensure compliance with Eskom standards, local industry specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support preparation of technical documentation, cost optimization, and project delivery activities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the power or renewable energy industry.
• Experience working with at least two types of organizations, including design institutes (such as Eskom, Zutari, etc.), IPP developers, or EPC contractors.
• Strong project experience in energy storage, photovoltaic, and power transmission & transformation projects.
• Familiar with Eskom bidding documentation frameworks and industry standards.

Localization & Compliance:

• Strong understanding of local industry regulations, technical specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Familiar with local supplier resources, procurement channels, and market pricing conditions.
• Possess mature resource databases and ready-to-use historical templates.

Preferred

• Candidates with balanced experience across renewable energy generation and grid infrastructure projects are preferred.
• Candidates capable of supporting mechanical engineering related work will have an advantage.
