Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Civil Engineer with a strong infrastructure background to join a fully remote team. You will plan, design and oversee essential projects nationwide, including roads, bridges and utility networks, from a home-based office.

Collaboration with consultants and stakeholders will be essential for success. Requirements include a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering, 8+ years in civil infrastructure design and project management, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure development to join their fully remote team. You will play a key role in the planning, design, and oversight of essential infrastructure projects, including but not limited to roads, bridges, and utility networks. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage projects from conception to completion while working effectively from a home-based office. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, consultants, and stakeholders using advanced communication and project management tools, ensuring the successful delivery of projects that enhance community infrastructure nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of various infrastructure projects, including site development, roads, and drainage.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with national building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively from a remote setting.
• Liaise with clients, government bodies, and construction teams to facilitate project progression.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Experience with project management software and collaborative platforms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote teamwork.
