The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 6+ years in civil construction supervision, and Pr Eng registration with ECSA.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee construction projects in Bloemfontein . You will be responsible for ensuring that all civil engineering works are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and site management. You will act as the client's representative on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and resolving any on-site challenges effectively, contributing to the development of key infrastructure in the Free State province.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering construction activities.
• Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality control procedures.
• Monitor site safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture among all workers.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with contractors and subcontractors.
• Manage project documentation, including daily reports, site instructions, and progress claims.
• Resolve construction issues and conflicts promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in civil construction supervision.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Proven experience in managing road construction, building foundations, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
