About the Role

Our client, a distinguished engineering consultancy with a strong focus on water resource management, is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This hybrid role allows for a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, based out of their offices in scenic Stellenbosch . You will be instrumental in the design and development of projects related to water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and dam infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of hydraulic principles, water resource planning, and relevant design software. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer who can contribute to innovative solutions for water-related challenges facing the region and beyond. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring sustainable and efficient water management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, dams, and canals.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution networks and river systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations for water resource projects.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, hydrologists, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage project components, including scope, schedule, and budget, under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in tender evaluations.

Requirements
