Job summary

SMEC is seeking an Assistant Contracts Engineer for the Polihali Transfer Tunnel project in Lesotho. You will assist the Contracts Engineer in contractual matters, prepare monthly payment certificates, and contribute to claims adjudication as part of the project team.

The role requires extensive post-graduate civil engineering experience and expertise with FIDIC contracts, based in Lesotho on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in contracts administration for major civil works.
• Proven ability to prepare and review payment certificates.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC forms and contract interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Monthly measurement and payment certificates.
• Interpretation of the contracts including claims adjudication.
• Support to the Engineer in all contractual issues.
• Full-time position based in Lesotho.
