Job summary

ABSA is offering an ACCA Trainee Accountant internship in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Trainees rotate every six months across bank areas to gain exposure and build competencies for Chartered Accountants qualification over a three-year period.

Role includes assisting with monthly management accounts, budgeting/forecasting, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting to internal stakeholders, with formal coaching and mentoring as part of Gen A program.

Qualifications

• must have a qualification in the discipline of Accounting and Auditing or Finance

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Process invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders
• Assist in producing financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
