About the Role

Our client, a highly respected early childhood development center in Polokwane , is looking for a passionate and experienced Childcare Facility Manager. This leadership position is responsible for the overall operation, administration, and programming of the facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. The Manager will oversee staff, manage budgets, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and foster strong relationships with parents and the community. This role requires a blend of educational expertise, strong management acumen, and a genuine love for early childhood education. You will be the driving force behind ensuring high standards of care and education within the center.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and educational programs in line with best practices.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate childcare staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team.
• Manage the facility's budget, including fee collection, payroll, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, communicating regularly about their child's progress and center activities.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain families.
• Manage facility maintenance and ensure a well-equipped and organized learning space.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in childcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Thorough knowledge of early childhood development principles and pedagogical approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in staff management, training, and performance evaluation.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and licensing regulations for childcare facilities in the Polokwane area.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Financial management and budgeting experience.
• Proficiency in using childcare management software and standard office applications.
