Ideal candidates hold a BSW, SACSSP registration, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in child protection, with strong knowledge of SA child welfare legislation.

Qualifications

• BSW degree is required.
• Registration with SACSSP is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years in child protection or related social work field.
• Solid knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, and SA child welfare policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of children and families.
• Develop and implement individualized case management plans.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic support to children and families.
• Advocate for children's rights and safety.
• Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies.
• Prepare court reports and provide testimony when required.
• Maintain confidential case records and documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to families in distress.
• Stay updated on child welfare policies and best practices.
