Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Family Services team in Randburg, Gauteng. You will assess family needs, provide counseling, and connect clients with essential resources to strengthen families and safeguard children.

The role involves home visits in Randburg, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring ethical practice and confidentiality. A SACSSP-registered professional with relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW) and SACSSP registration.
• Proven experience in child welfare, family counseling, or community-based social work.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough family assessments and risk evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized case plans with families and agencies.
• Provide in-home counseling and therapeutic support during crises.
• Facilitate supervised visits and mediation when required.
• Connect families with housing, employment, and mental health services.
• Document progress and maintain compliant case files; advocate for clients.
