Job summary

Pathfinders Consulting Pty (LTD) in Cape Town seeks a dedicated Child Care Worker to care for babies and young children aged 0–5 years in a safe, nurturing environment. You will support daily care, wellbeing and early development, including shifts that cover nights, weekends and holidays to ensure constant care.

The role requires SACSSP registration, Grade 12 or equivalent, and CYC training. Accepts RPL; strong English/Afrikaans communication and time management are essential for coordinated

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or relevant experience in Child and Youth Care (RPL considered).
• CYC training at NQF Level 4 is required.
• Registration with SACSSP as a CYC Worker is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and developmental care for children aged 0 to 5 years.
• Support the individual developmental needs of each child.
• Maintain hygiene and grooming of children.
• Lead developmental play and activities as guided by staff.
• Participate in developmental assessments of children in care.
• Assist with giving medication when needed.
• Ensure children's clothing is labelled and belongings looked after.
• Complete daily shift handover reports.
