Qualifications

• Requires a three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree), BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is an added advantage.
• Valid Code B driving licence.
• Willingness to work shifts, standby and overtime.
• Applicants may be placed anywhere in Tshwane as required by management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control tactical operational planning for the subsection to ensure compliance with the broader technical support services strategy.
• Provide input on philosophies of electrical power protection systems to ensure continuous distribution network availability.
• Review specialist test services for effective and efficient methodology.
• Manage operational resources and coordinate training for the subsection.
• Oversee financial implementation requirements for operational job numbers and ensure safe working practices.
