Job summary

IQbusiness South Africa is seeking a finance, risk or audit leader to own quality, risk and governance across the service, ensuring independence and segregation-of-duties controls are designed, operated and evidenced. You will report to boards and audit committees and chair risk and governance forums, keeping the service controlled, neutral and audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent qualification in risk, audit or compliance.
• At least 10 years in finance, risk, audit or governance leadership, including in regulated environments.
• Experience designing and testing controls, including segregation of duties; reporting to boards/auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own the control framework, policy and obligation register and role–and–access matrices.
• Run control testing and report results to risk and audit forums.
• Ensure no process goes live without explicit controls, ownership and evidence routes.
• Own conflict register, recusal log and quarterly reviews; investigate breaches and drive corrective action.
• Maintain risk register and report material risks; support internal/external audits with evidence packs.
• Chair quality and risk forums and collaborate with Compliance and Regulatory Lead.
