Job summary

The Financial and Accounting Service Sector Education and Training Authority seeks a Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership across core business operations in a demanding public-sector context.

The role requires extensive senior management experience within a SETA or public entity, with deep knowledge of governance, PFMA and public sector performance management systems.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Public Administration, Commerce, Finance, Operations Management, Strategic Management or related field (NQF Level 8).
• Minimum of 10 years senior management experience.
• Minimum 5 years as COO or higher within a SETA or public entity.
• Proven experience within a SETA or broader skills development/public entity environment.
• Extensive knowledge of skills development legislation, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, King IV, Governance and public sector performance management systems.
