Job summary

ForAfrika South Africa is seeking a Head of Operations to lead programme delivery and the operational backbone across humanitarian, PCV and FASE ventures. Reporting to the Country Managing Director, you will own every funded project from handover to close-out and manage operations, procurement, logistics, fleet and people.

You will co-develop the country strategy, oversee budgets, risk, safeguarding, and ensure compliance with funders while building a high-performing national operations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in senior operations or multi-functional leadership.
• Experience in procurement, logistics, and HR across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of humanitarian funding and compliance.
• English fluency; SA local languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead country strategy and operational plans.
• Oversee operations, procurement, logistics, fleet, and facilities.
• Manage budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting.
• Ensure contract compliance and donor reporting.
• Lead risk management and safeguarding across sites.
• Develop and mentor national operational leadership.
• Collaborate with MD and leadership team.
