About the Role

You will manage a team of geologists, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of geological data that underpins critical operational and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in resource geology, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to excel in a remote, collaborative environment, driving geological excellence across their diverse mining portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the geological team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee the planning and execution of geological exploration programs and mine geology activities.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all resource and reserve estimations.
• Develop and implement geological modeling and data management best practices.
• Liaise with senior management, operations, and external stakeholders on geological matters.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in economic geology and mine geology, including significant leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in resource/reserve estimation and geostatistical analysis.
• Proficiency with advanced geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, Datamine).
• Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and projects effectively.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
