Job summary

PPS Group is seeking a strategic Head of Group Compliance to design and drive a modern, data‑driven compliance function across the PPS Group. This role requires hands‑on leadership to embed automation, GRC ecosystems, and a robust risk management framework.

You will lead regulatory engagement, privacy oversight, and the corporate compliance program while guiding the team through evolving legislation. A senior, influential position with broad impact across subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in senior compliance management within financial services.
• Proven track record as Head of Compliance or Head of Financial Crime.
• FAIS Compliance Officer experience, or oversight thereof.
• POPIA/PAIA Information Officer experience.
• Automation and data analytics applied to compliance.
• Experience selecting and implementing GRC systems,
• Extensive knowledge of financial services legislation (FAIS, POPIA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the Group compliance strategy and modernisation agenda.
• Lead and modernise the compliance operating model with automation and analytics.
• Own the Group compliance risk management process across the Group.
• Manage relationships with regulators (PA, FSCA, IR, FIC).
• Own the Information Officer / privacy oversight function (POPIA/PAIA).
• Support MLRO/MLCO in AML/CFT/CPF program maintenance and remediation.
• Own second-line monitoring and assurance across the Group.
• Own Market Conduct and TCF framework and regulatory returns.
• Oversee compliance training and the champions network.
