Snatch | Accounting & Finance Headhunters is seeking a commercially minded CFO for an established multi-site restaurant group in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will partner with the CEO and executive team to shape financial direction, strengthen operations and drive sustainable growth.

The candidate must be a CA(SA) with 10+ years post-articles and 8+ years in senior financial leadership, preferably in QSR/retail/hospitality. Strong ERP and governance expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualified with post-articles experience.
• Minimum 10 years post-articles experience.
• Over 8 years senior financial leadership experience.
• Experience in multi-site QSR/retail/hospitality/franchise environments preferred.
• Strong commercial and governance, reporting, taxation and compliance expertise.
• Proven track record leading finance teams and enabling growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CEO and Leadership Team to execute financial strategy.
• Provide commercial insights and modelling for growth and capital allocation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Drive cash flow, profitability and sustainability across entities.
• Deliver consolidated reporting, variance analysis and dashboards.
• Ensure IFRS, tax, SARS, CIPC and POPIA compliance.
• Oversee treasury, funding, banks, investments and working capital.
• Governance, contracts, risk, controls and business continuity.
• Improve ERP systems, workflows and data quality.
• Collaborate with Operations to optimise store profitability and costs.
• Lead and develop the Finance Team and cross-functional collaboration.
• Champion company culture and leadership principles.

An opportunity to drive the next chapter of growth for an established multi-site restaurant group where commercial success and meaningful impact go hand in hand.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded CFO with a strong background in the retail, QSR, franchise, or FMCG sectors to join an established multi-site restaurant group in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Partnering closely with the CEO and executive team, the CFO will shape the company’s financial direction, strengthen operational performance and help drive its next phase of sustainable, profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to execute financial and business strategy.
• Provide commercial insights and modelling for operations, growth, new stores, acquisitions and capital allocation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Drive profitability, cash flow and sustainability across all entities.
• Deliver consolidated reporting, variance analysis, performance insights and dashboards.
• Ensure IFRS, franchisor, tax, SARS, CIPC and POPIA compliance.
• Oversee treasury, funding, banking, investments, financing and working capital.
• Manage governance, company secretarial duties, contracts, risk, controls, audits and business continuity.
• Improve ERP systems, workflows, reporting, automation and data quality.
• Partner with Operations to optimise store profitability, pricing, labour, inventory, productivity and costs.
• Lead and develop the Finance Team, succession and cross-functional collaboration.
• Champion the company’s culture and leadership principles.

Qualification and Experience:

• Professionally qualified CA(SA) is non-negotiable.
• A minimum of 10 years’ post-articles experience is non-negotiable.
• More than 8 years of Senior financial leadership experience.
• Experience within a multi-site QSR, retail, FMCG, hospitality or franchise environment is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and operational finance, reporting, analysis, taxation, compliance and governance expertise.
• Proven experience leading finance teams and supporting business growth and expansion.
• Strong systems orientation, including ERP implementation or digital finance transformation, is advantageous.
• R2,100,000 - R2,500,000 CTC per annum (depending on experience)
