Responsibilities

• Technical management of the Outage function.
• Medium and long term outage plan (prioritisation, risk identification and mitigation).
• Liaising with SOC, NMCs, Generation, Distribution and NTCSA Grids on outage matters.
• Maintain operational documentation.
• Manage NTCSA/Distribution, Metro and Koeberg Operating Agreements.
• Ensure Grid Code compliance.

Area of specialization: Oversees the entire outage process including maintenance and projects with regards to communication and agreements with stakeholders, gris code compliance, corridor information, documentation and managing the medium and long term outage plan by prioritizing outages; determining risk and mitigation strategies, tracking progress against plan and reporting to management.Position/Task Grade: P18Department: National OperationsBusiness Unit: System OperatorLocation: Simmerpan, Germiston, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

• Technical management of the Outage function
• Medium and long term outage plan (prioritisation, risk identification and mitigation).
• Liaising with System Operating Control (SOC), Network Management Centres (NMC’s), Generation, Distribution and NTCSA Grids with regards to outage related matters, to ensure resolution on any problems.
• Operational documentation.
