Help chemistry instructors prepare for experiments, keep class and lab organized, and complete tasks necessary each week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assistant in preparation of chemical solutions, prepare and set up for weekly experiments, organize stockroom and lab, clean glassware used for solution prep, aid with disposal of lab waste, help Narehood and Walker with class and lab tasks as needed
General Qualifications
Applicant must be at least 16 years or older and have taken at least one semester of chemistry.
Required Qualifications
At least 1 semester of chemistry at SCC , understand how to safely handle chemicals, instruments, and complete lab techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
2 semesters of chemistry and enrolled in organic chemistry course.
Physical Demands
stand for short periods of time, wear gloves and safety glasses, handle fluctuating temperatures of the T building
