Valterra Platinum Limited in Mokopane, Limpopo, seeks an experienced laboratory analyst for the PGM division. The role focuses on delivering timely analyses, ensuring SHER-compliant safety, and producing accurate documentation and reports.

Qualificações

• Grade 12 / NQF 4 is required.
• BSc Honours (NQF Level 8 equivalent) Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• At least 3 years’ laboratory experience in the PGM industry.
• Data measurement, monitoring and analysis techniques expected.
• Knowledge of ICP OES, ICP MS, XRF, LECO and Spark OES.
• Business acumen and knowledge of operating model and work management.
• Experience with quality tools and budgeting basics.

This role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.

Job Description

This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to Section Manager Chemistry.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NQF 4
• BSc Honours (NQF Level 8 equivalent) Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry

Experience and technical knowledge

• At least 3 Years’ experience laboratory experience in PGM industry
• Principles of how operational processes are classified according to the Operating Model with a focus on Work Management
• New technologies and their impact on operational activities within scope of role
• Business improvement tools and techniques
• Data measurement, monitoring and analysis techniques
• Domain specific knowledge of relevant unit processes, operating procedures and equipment capability (ICP OES, ICP MS, XRF, LECO, Spark OES)
• Business acumen and commercial drivers of site performance Basic financial metrics & budgeting tools
