Placements24 in Soweto is seeking a diligent Chemical Engineer to join the Quality Assurance team. You will develop and implement quality control procedures, analyze product data, and work with production teams to address quality deviations.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of chemical manufacturing, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity, with experience in QMS and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related science.
• Minimum 4 years in quality assurance/quality control within the chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and SPC.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the chemical sector.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
• Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP).
• Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate quality records.
