Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team in Polokwane. You will develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for chemical production, analyze data, and work with production to resolve quality issues.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, at least four years in QA/QC, strong analytical technique knowledge (spectroscopy, chromatography), familiarity with GMP/ISO, and proficiency in SPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in QA/QC within the chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and lab instrumentation.
• Familiarity with GMP and ISO quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for chemical production processes.
• Conduct routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Investigate deviations, identify root causes, and implement CAPAs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and regulatory affairs on quality matters.
• Maintain quality records and prepare regular quality performance reports.
