Placements24 is recruiting a proactive Chemical Production Engineer for a Queenstown, South Africa facility. You will optimize daily chemical production operations, drive yield improvements, and ensure safe, compliant manufacturing processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and at least four years’ experience in chemical production or manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with maintenance and quality teams and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical production or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, unit operations, and process control.
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize daily chemical production operations to meet output targets and quality standards.
• Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to improve yield and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the production area.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Support the implementation of new processes, technologies, and capital projects within the production facility.
• Train and mentor production operators on process operations and safety procedures.
