Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Chemical Engineer to provide essential operations support at their Queenstown facility. You will work with plant operators and maintenance teams to troubleshoot problems, implement minor process improvements, and maintain operational documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career engineer to gain broad experience in plant operations and contribute to efficiency and reliability of chemical manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a chemical plant operations or engineering support role.
• Basic understanding of chemical processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time technical support to plant operators during production runs.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues impacting production schedules or product quality.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and debottlenecking efforts.
• Maintain and update operational records, including batch sheets and process logs.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental procedures within the plant.
• Participate in shift handovers and team meetings to ensure seamless operational continuity.
